Oregon East Symphony concert set for Friday in Pendleton

PENDLETON — The Oregon East Symphony will present “The Czechs Have It!” a concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Vert Auditorium, 480 S.W. Dorion Ave. The concert was originally scheduled for February but was postponed due to weather.

The concert will feature “Slavonic Dances” by Antonin Dvorak; “A Fairy Tale, Op. 16” and “Scherzo Fantastique, Op. 25” by Joseph Suk; and “Concerto for Two Bassoons” by Johann Vanhal.

Featured soloists on bassoon are Richard Simon and Kirsten Boldt-Neurohr. Bruce Walker will conduct.

Tickets purchased in February and season tickets for the performance will be honored.

Tickets are $20 adult, $15 senior/student and $45 family, and are available at Armchair Books, 39 S.W. Dorion Ave.; the OES Office; and at the door.
