Ivan K. Chard

January 29, 1935 – April 25, 2014

Walla Walla resident, Ivan Kimber

Chard, 79, passed away April 25, 2014,

at his home.

Ivan was born January 29, 1935,

in Yakima, Washington, to Ralph

Kimber and Nellie Case Chard. He

attended high school in Yakima.

On October 1, 1982, he and Julie Krouse

were married in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

He worked at Morrison Supply for

five years then was owner of Walla Walla Radiator for thirty

years. After selling Walla Walla Radiator, he worked at the

Washington State Penitentiary for six years and retired in 2007

after driving school bus for the Walla Walla School District for

three years. He loved golfing, fishing, hunting and camping.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Post #26 in Walla

Walla.

Ivan is survived by his wife, Julie, at their home; two

daughters: Jody Burris of New Plymouth, Idaho and Debbie

Chard of Zilla, Washington; two sons: Ralph Chard of St.

Maries, Idaho and Floyd Chard of Oakland, California; five step-children;

six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and eight nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Bill Chard and Harry Chard.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00

p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2014, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles,

350 S. 2nd Avenue, Walla Walla. Memorial contributions

may be made to the Blue Mountain Humane Society through

Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt, 1551 Dalles Military Road,
