WALLA WALLA — Several members of the Union-Bulletin sales team have been recognized for completing training in the Virtanza Training and Certification Program, a multi-media selling program.
Jeff Sasser, Mike Waltman and Matt Lohrmann were awarded certificates at a recent luncheon. The training has been in progress since last November. Completely designates the three as certified multi-media marketing consultants.
The trio trained in understanding needs of advertisers to create the best combination of print, social media and digital products to reach potential customers and produce results. The training provides the tools for navigating today’s rapidly evolving marketing environment, the announcement explained.
“We are really excited about this investment in our sales team to help them create the best marketing solutions for businesses in our Valley,” U-B Publisher Rob Blethen said in a prepared statement.
“The printed U-B is read by three-fourths of adults in Walla Walla, but we are so much more than a newspaper these days with our mobile-optimized website, social media presence, website creation tools, niche products, digital re-targeting abilities and more. Helping advertisers reach their desired customers via these products will ensure a bright future for local news in the Valley and this training will help make that happen.”
