Touchet Valley Arts Council Productions is currently laying the groundwork for its next musical production, “Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella,” coming to Dayton’s Liberty Theater this fall.

Based on the classic fairy tale, this popular show was written for television, originally airing in 1957 as a vehicle for Julie Andrews.

Elizabeth Arebalos-Jagelski is returning to direct after a one-year sabbatical.

She will hold auditions in early June and encourages performers young and old to try out for one of the many roles.

“This is a musical the whole family can enjoy, whether they are sitting in the audience or part of the onstage magic,” said Arebalos-Jagelski.

Arebalos-Jagelski will be at the Liberty Theater with her production team on Wednesday to share her vision for the show and explain how the audition process unfolds.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m.
