Edison Elementary principal leaving for Spokane job

WALLA WALLA — Edison Elementary Principal Josh Wolcott has accepted a principal position at an elementary school in Spokane, according to a Walla Walla School District release.

Wolcott became principal of Edison in 2010 after serving three years as an assistant principal at Garrison Middle School. According to the release, he has been named principal at University Elementary in Spokane’s Central Valley School District.

“Josh has done a wonderful job at Edison, and was a terrific assistant principal at Garrison,” Superintendent Mick Miller said in the release. “We will miss his calm and thoughtful presence and engaging personality.”

The district said it will determine a process for finding a replacement this week.
