VANCOUVER, Wash. — Walla Walla High’s Jessica Huntsman missed the cut after a long day on the Club Green Meadows course here Wednesday.
Huntsman shot a 93 on the par-73 course, suffering three triples and three doubles through 13 holes,” Blue Devil coach Mike Patterson said.
“The last five holes, she was even-par,” Patterson said. “But she couldn’t get in sync (early). Her swing was out of rhythm.”
A weather delay also affected play.
“It was great to see (Huntsman) finish those last five holes (at even-par),” he said. “I’m so proud of Jessica for finishing so strong. She’s been No. 1 golfer the last four years. She’s a competitor. She’s going to have a great college career.”
Huntsman earned all-Mid Columbia Conference first-team honors, with Wa-Hi teammates Kendall Dunovant and Marisa Jimenez honorable mention.
