DeSales trackster Allison Wujek led her team with a third place finish in the 100 hurdles (16.07) and an eighth place finish in the high jump (4 feet, 10 inches) at the Washington 2B championships.
BELLINGHAM — DeSales golfer Emily Baumgart played for Team USA at the Loomis Trail and Semiahmoo golf courses near Bellingham this weekend, helping the team of top Washington and Oregon players defeat Team Canada, 19.5-16.5.
DeSales did not capture the Regional softball championship here in Regional 2B softball action, but the Irish collected a more important prize as they punched their ticket to their fifth consecutive state tournament.
The DeSales High School baseball team continued its pursuit of a third consecutive state baseball championship with victories over Colfax and Northwest Christian in 2B regional action.
DeSales High School capped off a solid showing at the 2B District 9 Track and Field Championships by qualifying 12 of its 16 participants for the state meet.
Oregon schools are at their state meets today and Saturday, while Washington 2B and 4A track and field athletes try to reach state.
Many area baseball and softball teams are in district and regional play this weekend, while others await their upcoming foes.
