SPOKANE — The District 7/9 softball tournament came down to a rematch of the District 9 title game between DeSales and Waitsburg-Prescott. The Irish avenged a 3-2 loss and defeated W-P 11-1.

WALLA WALLA — Cam Richman tossed a four-hit complete game while teammates Joe Duehn and Riley Roach collected three hits apiece Saturday afternoon to lead defending state champion DeSales to a 6-0 victory over Asotin in the title game of the District 9 Class 2B baseball tournament at Borleske Stadium.
WALLA WALLA — DeSales prepared for District 9 baseball play Saturday at Borleske Stadium with a 5-0 non-league victory over Mac-Hi at Ray Lane Field on Tuesday.
The 1B/2B sub-district sees DeSales send six boys and two girls, Pomeroy four boys and a girl, Waitsburg-Prescott a boy, and WWVA a pair of boys to the district round Monday at the Walla Walla Country Club.
WALLA WALLA — DeSales High School dominated every aspect of the game in a Southeast 2B twin bill against last-place St.John-Endicott/LaCrosse-Washtucna/Kahlotus Saturday, sweeping the athletic combine 14-0 and 19-0 in a pair of mercy-rule routs.
DeSales’ boys golf team carded a record-breaking 297 Thursday at the par-72 Columbia Point Golf Course, defeating its nearest challenger by 36 strokes and showing just how wide the divide is between the Irish and the rest of the field as the postseason approaches.
DeSales is right where coach Michael Scheel wants it as the postseason nears.
WALLA WALLA — DeSales High School made mincemeat out of visiting Tekoa-Oakesdale-Rosalia Saturday, defeating the Nighthawks 17-1 and 10-0 in a pair of Southeast 2B mercy-rule routs.
