KETTLE FALLS, Wash. — Republic’s Tigers had Pomeroy’s Pirates seeing double — and sometimes triple — here Friday night. Senior twin brothers Angelo and Alex Rivera, with considerable help from junior quarterback Aaron Fritts, rolled up 452 yards rushing as Republic roughed up Pomeroy 56-0 and bounced the Pirates from the Washington Class 1B-8 state playoffs on a bitter cold night at Kettle Falls High School.
Pomeroy claimed the Southeast District B-1 championship here Saturday in 1B volleyball action.
