The Waitsburg-Prescott softball team committed a whopping nine errors in a 10-8 loss to Pomeroy on Tuesday.
Pomeroy won the boys competition here Saturday in prep golf action. With spring break continuing, only the top three finishers figured into the team scoring. The Pirates took first with a 266 total over the Par 70 course.
Pomeroy roared back from a 7-1 deficit here in Southeast 1B baseball action here Saturday. The Pirates exploded for 16 runs over the last three innings to defeat Rosalia 17-7 in the opener of the SE1B twin bill.

The Pomeroy High School softball team scored eight runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to secure a 13-3 win over the Asotin junior varsity team on Thursday.
The Pomeroy boys golf team claimed first place in a four-squad match here Tuesday at the Quail Ridge Golf Course.
The Pomeroy softball team picked up its first win of the year against Garfield-Oakesdale-Tekoa-Palouse, 15-12, on Monday.
After opening its season with a tie against Garfield-Palouse/Tekoa-Oakesdale Wednesday, Pomeroy got its first wins of the season Saturday with a doubleheader sweep of Class 2B combine St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse-Washtucna-Kahlotus, 7-4 in game one and 14-7 in game two.
The Wildcats led from the get go, fought off a late Pirate charge that cut the lead to two and pulled away for a 59-46 win and their first 1B state title.
Wellpinit races to a 17-16 lead after the first quarter, but Pomeroy clinches a 62-38 victory on Thursday.
Riley Bott scores 22 points in the final quarter as Pomeroy advances to the state quarters.
