TOUCHET — Gary Dorman was still awaiting word this morning as to when and where his Touchet High football team would next take the field in the Washington Class 1B 8-man state quarterfinals.
Touchet’s defense terrorized Sam Schafer, Odessa-Harrington’s junior quarterback, in a 68-14 Indians victory.
Touchet has used its depth all season long, and coach Gary Dorman doesn’t plan to change it up against Odessa-Harrington Friday.
DeSales, Waitsburg-Prescott and Touchet are all in contention for a state championship.
The Touchet volleyball season came to an end Saturday as the Indians fell in straight sets to St. John-Endicott, 25-23, 25-6, 25-6 in the District 9 tournament.
Touchet enters the playoffs as the No. 2 seed after a 56-8 win against Sunnyside Christian on Thursday.
Touchet didn’t exit the Southeast 1B District volleyball tournament with the result it wanted here Wednesday, falling to Colton 25-10, 25-16, 25-14.
Touchet’s volleyball team handed Rosalia a four-set Class 1B District 9 loser-out defeat here Monday evening to advance in the tournament.

It came down to a decisive fifth set, but the Touchet volleyball team was unable to get past Southeast 1B League foe Rosalia on Tuesday.
