WALLA WALLA — Walla Walla High School is holding the Blue Devil Athletic Development camp again this summer
THE DALLES — A year after playing all the way into the state championship, Weston-McEwen will find itself on the outside looking in as the state tournament begins Wednesday.
ONTARIO, Ore. — Josie Lonai won two events and Kristi Childers placed second in the 100-meter dash to lead McLoughlin High School at the Greater Oregon League track and field championships in Ontario, Ore. Friday and Saturday.
UNION — Weston-McEwen’s girls finished first and the TigerScot boys placed fifth here Friday and Saturday during the Blue Mountain Conference track and field championships at the Union High School track.
SPOKANE — Wa-Hi’s girls finished third and its boys fifth during Class 4A regional track and field action that ended here Saturday at Spokane Falls Community College.
RICHLAND — The Walla Walla High School double tandem of Allison Mehn and Rachel Schueller battled their way to a spot in the state 4A doubles tennis tournament in action here Saturday.
ECHO — The Weston-McEwen TigerScots softball team took early leads of 2-0 and 3-2 but fell in seven innings to the Irrigon Knights, 12-4, Special District 5 playoffs action.
MEDICAL LAKE, Wash. — Touchet High School’s softball team scored 22 runs and smacked 27 hits as the Indians went 2-1 in the 1B district 7/9 regional playoffs and earned a trip to state.
SPOKANE — The District 7/9 softball tournament came down to a rematch of the District 9 title game between DeSales and Waitsburg-Prescott. The Irish avenged a 3-2 loss and defeated W-P 11-1.
CLARKSTON — It was close, but Waitsburg-Prescott’s boys track team won’t be lighting cigars for the seventh consecutive year.
WALLA WALLA — Defending Class 2B baseball champion DeSales moved two steps closer to the program’s 18th state title Saturday afternoon with a pair of regional victories at Murr Sports Park.
