Mildred Millie Logan

1921 - 2012

Mildred V. “Millie” Logan, 91, passed to her rest August 16, 2012, at
Emeritus at Garrison Creek Lodge, 1460 Dalles Military Road, Walla
Walla, Washington. Millie was born March 28, 1921,
in Dodge Center, Minnesota, to Paul and May (McIntosh) Bovee. She
graduated from Maplewood Academy in Hutchinson, Minnesota. On
September 26, 1942, she and William H. Logan married in Phenix City,
Alabama. She worked as a receptionist in a doctor’s office
and as an activity director in a nursing home, retiring when
they moved to this area from Cicero, Indiana, in June, 1982.
Millie’s family was of utmost importance to her. She
enjoyed homemaking, family gatherings, camping and
travel. She volunteered at Walla Walla General Hospital for
several years. Millie was a member of the Village Seventhday
Adventist Church and the Disabled American Veterans
Auxiliary.

Those left to mourn her loss are her son and daughterin-
law, Patrick and Veda Logan of College Place; two
sisters: Irlene Schauer and Madeline Hart both of Rochester,
Minnesota; two grandchildren: Natalie Logan-DeLaRosa of
West Richland, Washington and Reneé Wright of Pendleton,
Oregon; one great-grandson, “TJ” Antonio Patrick
DeLaRosa; and seventeen nieces and nephews. She was
preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2007; two
brothers and one sister.

Family and friends may pay their respects from
1:00 – 7:00 p.m., Monday, August 20, 2012, at Mountain
View-Colonial DeWitt, 1551 Dalles Military Road, Walla
Walla, Washington. The funeral service will be 11:00
a.m., Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at the funeral home.
Pastor Steve Walikonis will officiate. Burial will follow
in Mount Hope Cemetery with Pastor Dan Solis
officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to
SonBridge Community Center through the funeral
home.
