Necia L. Schumacher

1945 - 2012

Necia Louise Schumacher, 67, passed away December
21, 2012, at Park Manor Rehabilitation Center in Walla
Walla, Washington after a courageous battle with cancer.

Necia was born October 20, 1945, in Missoula, Montana,
to Ormond R. and Necia M. Hansen Baldridge. She grew up
in Missoula before attending Eastern Washington State
College in Seattle. She met her future husband, Robert
Schumacher, while in college and they were secretly married
on August 21, 1965 in Idaho. They had a formal ceremony
on December 28, 1965. They moved to Walla Walla in 1966
where Necia finished her nursing degree. Necia worked at
Providence St. Mary Medical Center as Director of Nursing
in the Emergency Room until her retirement.

Necia was the kindest woman that anyone ever met, and
will always be remembered as both sweet and generous. She
was a loving mother and grandmother, and enjoyed spending
time with her family. Despite her struggles in life, Necia’s faith
in the Lord remained forever unshaken, and to her latest hour
she rejoiced and triumphed in the God of her salvation.

She is survived by her daughter, Sonja (Earl) Gooding
of Walla Walla; three sons: Aaron (Laurie) Schumacher of
Spokane, Washington; Ian (Keri) Schumacher of Federal
Way, Washington; and Derrick (Lisa) Schumacher of Bothel,
Washington; two sisters: Lyla (Jack) Dumke and Cherry
Ellis; two brothers: Craig (Marie) Baldridge and Jory (Teresa)
Baldridge; five grandsons, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her former
husband, Robert Schumacher.

The memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5,
2013 at 1st Assembly of God, 1919 Fern Avenue,
