Dorene McNulty, 79, of Vancouver, passed away on Nov. 12, 2012. She was born in Minot, N.D., on Dec. 1, 1932, to David and Olive Ratzlaff. Dorene graduated from high school and spent one year at Northern Montana College in Havre, Mont., and was employed at the Great Northern Railroad in Havre.
She retired from the Corps of Engineers as a property accountant. Dorene was a member of the Beaverton Foursquare Church and the YMCA. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, sewing, walking and had artistic endeavors.
Dorene is survived by her husband, James “Jim” M. McNulty; daughter, Marcie Fisher (Duncan) of Gig Harbor, Wash.; sons, Keith Rude (partner Nancy), of Boston, Mass., Kurt Rude, of Walla Walla, Brad Rude of Walla Walla; stepdaughter, Anne von Trapp of Salem, Ore.; stepsons, Charlie McNulty (Dianne) of Carnation, Wash., Jack McNulty (Silvia) of Zurich, Switzerland; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Allen Ratzlaff (Nancy) of Sebring, Fla., and Don Ratzlaff (Carolyn) of Fullerton, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Olive Ratzlaff of Great Falls, Mont.; and sister, Donna Haggart, also of Great Falls.
Visitations will be held on Thursday from noon-9 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m.-noon with a memorial service to follow at 12:30 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Donations may be sent to the Shriner’s Hospital.
