Doris D. Dinwiddie

1932 - 2012

Walla Walla resident Doris D. Dinwiddie, 79, passed away November 11, 2012, at
Providence St. Mary Medical Center. Viewing will be Friday, November 23, 2012,
9am to 5pm and Monday 9am to 11am, at Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt, 1551
Dalles Military Road, Walla Walla, WA 99362. The graveside service will be 1:00 pm, Monday,
November 26, 2012, at Mountain View Cemetery. Pastor Dave Jones
from Grace Christian Center will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association
through the funeral home.

One of nine children, Doris was born November 26, 1932, to Arthur Ray and Dessie Ann Trivitt, in Allen,
Oklahoma. Doris lived in New Mexico, Arizona and Texas before coming to California in 1961. She attended CNA School in El Cerrito, California for food service supervisor. She later trained to be a certified nurse’s aide.

Doris was married to Charles Murray for seventeen years and together they had four children. They later divorced. In 1964, she met the love of her life, Johnny Clayton Dinwiddie. They were united in marriage on July 1, 1970, in San Pablo, California. They were married thirty-five years. He preceded her in death in 1996.
Doris enjoyed camping, fishing and rodeos with her children and grandchildren. She loved her children very
much.

Survivors include her five children, Donna Foster, Johnny K. Dinwiddie, Rose Lackey, Robert L. Dinwiddie and
Donald R. Murray; brothers, Charlie and Ray Trivitt; and sister, Lee Burhans. She was preceded in death by
her husband John C. Dinwiddie, brothers Roy and James Trivitt, sisters Peggy Stafford, Patricia Ann Soules and
Glenda Sue Trivitt.
