Verna S. Reisinger

Longtime area resident, Verna S. Reisinger, 105, passed away October 10, 2012, at Walla Walla General
Hospital, 1025 S. 2nd Avenue, Walla Walla, Washington.

Verna was born September 23, 1907, in Norwood, Missouri, to William and Mary Coffman McFalls. She attended school in Norwood. On February 5, 1927, she and Winfred “Windy” O. Reisinger married in Granite City, Illinois. They moved to this area in 1944 from Illinois; then to Shoshone, Idaho in 1949, returning to Walla Walla in 1959. She was employed by Whitman College for 26 years, retiring in 1985.

Verna enjoyed flowers, sewing, cooking and especially working crossword puzzles and creating photo
albums. A devoted Christian who enjoyed reading her Bible, she was a member of the First Assembly of God.
She is survived by one granddaughter, Karen Lee Robertson of Bellevue, Washington and numerous nieces
and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred Reisinger in 1991; and their son, Morris
Reisinger, a graduate of Wa-Hi and the US Naval Academy, killed in Korea in 1952. She was loved by many
and will be greatly missed.

Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:00 a.m.to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 15, 2012,
at Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt, 1551 Dalles Military Road, Walla Walla. The funeral service will be 1:00
p.m., Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at the First Assembly of God, 1919 Fern Avenue, Walla Walla. The graveside
service and vault interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, 2120 S. 2nd Avenue. Rev. Jack Bailey
will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of donor’s choice through the funeral home.
