Daryl Clair Perry

1936 - 2012

College Place resident Daryl Clair Perry, 75, passed away Oct. 4, 2012, at his home.
Daryl was born Nov. 4, 1936, in Benton Harbor, Mich., to Michael and Alta Mohr Perry. He graduated from Upper Columbia Academy in Spangle, attended Walla Walla College and received a master’s degree from Eastern Washington State University.

On Sept. 8, 1957, he and Loreta Carol Helms married in Milwaukie, Ore. Daryl began his career as a teacher then spent 32 years as a pastor in South Dakota, Minnesota, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. He was a member of the Village Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Daryl is survived by his wife; his daughter, Dorita Tessier; his two sons, Steve and Stan; his brother, Morian Perepelitza; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
