1977 - 2012
Jeremy James Stockman, loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and friend, 34, died Sept. 5, 2012, from complications due to diabetes and renal failure. Jeremy was born Nov. 10, 1977, to Brenda Stockman (Hagedorn) and Jimmy Oye at Walla Walla General Hospital.
He attended local area schools and worked from a young age at Loney’s Harvest Foods for his uncle. He then met his future wife, Becky Schavrien, and became a father Sept. 13, 1996. He began a career in the food industry, working for Pizza Hut, moving up into management. After years with Pizza Hut he took a position in the kitchen at the Washington State Penitentiary.
In his youth Jeremy enjoyed hanging out with his friends, playing video games, riding motorcycles working on bikes, and as he got older his passion became working on cars, trucks, or anything that had a motor in it. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, spending time with Becky and his sons, and family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Becky; and two sons, Dakotah and Devan Stockman; brother, Shawn Stockman; sister, Danielle Robledo; eight nieces; and many friends, whom he considered family. He is preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Stockman (Hagedorn) and his father, Jimmy Oye.
His celebration of life will be held Saturday Sept. 15, at 4 p.m. at 579 S. Gose Rd., Walla Walla. Jeremy’s wishes are to have a casual, come as you are potluck. If you have memorial contributions for the Stockman family or flowers, have them sent or brought to the celebration. Also there will be a balloon release if you would like to bring a special balloon you may, or there will be some there provided for you. Come and join us as we celebrate Jeremy’s life!!
