Obituary for Margaret S. Goble

1918 - 2013

Margaret S. Goble passed away on Feb. 4, 2013, at the Christian Health Care Center in Lynden, Wash. Margaret was born and raised in Walla Walla. She married Glenn Goble of Walla Walla on July 3, 1938. Glenn and Margaret had two children, G. Ted Goble and Shirley M. Goble. She was blessed with six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Margaret was employed by School District 140 in food services, beginning as a cook at Garrison Junior High School in 1955 and became cook manager there in 1962. She retired in June 1980. She was a past matron of the Alki Chapter 26, Order of Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, and a member of the Walla Walla Hobby Club. As a homemaker, she enjoyed traveling, doing handicrafts, and she also made wedding cakes for many years prior to retirement.
