Mary E. Meidinger

1921 - 2013

Mary E. Meidinger, 91, passed away February 13, 2013,
at Park Manor Rehabilitation Center, 1710 Plaza Way, Walla
Walla, Washington.
Mary was born April 25, 1921, in Long Beach, California,
to George and Mary (Frank) Weatherby. She received a
two-year business degree from Southwestern Junior College
(now LaSierra University) in California. On August 30,
1942, she and Lee J. Meidinger were married in Compton,
California. Since 1961 she worked as a case worker for
the Department of Social and Health Services in Walla
Walla, Spokane, Moses Lake, and Wenatchee. At the time
of her retirement, they moved to this area from Wenatchee,
Washington. She was a member of the Village Seventh-day
Adventist Church.

Mary will be remembered for her keen memory, her
perpetual positive attitude and her never-ending love and
pride in her family.

Mary is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law:
Dennis and Pam Meidinger of Enumclaw, Washington; Don
and Cathy Meidinger of Battle Ground, Washington; Dan
and Carol Meidinger of Sunnyvale, CA; and Duane and
Margie Meidinger of College Place; eight grandchildren and
five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her
parents; her husband in 2011; her son Daryl in 1969; and her
brother, Robert Weatherby in 2001.

The memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday,
February 22, 2013, at the Village Seventh-day Adventist
Church, 12th and Larch Streets, College Place. The
graveside service will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Pastor Steve Walikonis will officiate.
