Ray W. Partin

1933 - 2012

Ray W. Partin, longtime Milton-Freewater resident, passed
away December 28th after a battle with brain cancer. Our good Lord
saw he wasn’t able to get better so he took him home.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 4, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Munselle-
Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel in Milton-Freewater, Oregon with
Pastor Duane Geyer officiating. Concluding services and interment will be in the
Milton-Freewater Cemetery.
Friends who wish to pay their respects may call at the
funeral home Thursday 9-Noon, 1-5 and 7-9 or Friday
prior to the funeral hour. Memorial contributions may be
made to the Elks Eye Clinic through the funeral home.
He was born December 14th, 1933 to Carl and Verda
Mae Partin in Antlers, Oklahoma. He came to Oregon
at an early age. He attended both Tum-A-Lum and
McLoughlin High School, where he met Twila Rhoads.

They were married in May of 1955 and were together for
57 years. That same year he was drafted into the army and
served two years in Germany. When he returned home he
got a job with Cascade Natural Gas Co. and worked there
for 37 years, making lifelong friends with his coworkers.
He was given the nickname “The Gasman” by customers
he helped both on and off the clock. Ray loved hunting,
camping, fishing, and getting together with family. He was
very proud of his grandsons and enjoyed watching them
play sports. He was a lifelong member of the BPOE in
Milton-Freewater.

He is survived by his wife Twila Partin, son Danny Partin,
daughters Karen Bond and Darla Krull, son-in-law Curt Krull,
grandsons Colt, Shane, Jared, and Kaleb, sister Theresa Bass,
brothers Sonny and Jerry Partin, numerous nieces and nephews,
all of Milton-Freewater.
