Ola Mae Locke, formerly of Milton-Freewater, passed away on Jan. 19, 2013, in Post Falls, Idaho, at the age of 79 years.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Chapel, 902 S. Main, Milton-Freewater. Interment will follow at the Milton-Freewater Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, from 1-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Elks Eye Foundation in care of the funeral home.
Ola was born on Aug. 15, 1933, in Mountain Grove, Miss., the daughter of Luther and Mabel (Milton) Still well. On Sept. 25, 1947, she married Verlon Locke in Hardy, Ark. Ola worked as a toy technician for R and L Vending for several years. Ola enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, quilting, knitting, playing cards, going to yard sales and camping with her family. She was actively involved with the Lady Elks.
Survivors include her sons, Tony Locke of Weston, Sam Locke of Rathdrum, Idaho; son-in-law, Bill Lambert of Moscow, Idaho; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends. Her parents; husband, Verlon Locke; daughter, Verlena Lambert; sisters, Nadine Powers, Velma Lee Campbell; brothers, Arlie, Ernie and Lester Stillwell, all preceded her in death.
