Katherine Louise Mitchell, 47, passed away at her home in Walla Walla, after a long battle with breast cancer. Katherine was born Aug. 13, 1965, in Tacoma. Her parents are Fred and Marcia Dummler Mitchell. She attended Walla Walla area schools and received her GED from Walla Walla Community College. Kathie was an avid reader and loved her Chihuahua, Sophie. She was a member of the Amazing Grace Church of the Nazarene.
Kathie is survived by her parents, Fred Mitchell of Walla Walla and Marcia and Harold Lee of Kingsport, Tenn; son, Thomas Nathaniel Trout of Walla Walla; daughter, Alexandria Katherine Cook of Kingsport, Tenn.; sister and brother-in-law, Jenny and Bill Richardson of Walla Walla; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fred and Berniece Mitchell, Dorothy and Edward Hein and Bill and Lorraine Dummler.
The family wishes to say a special thank you to Dr. Quackenbush and the Providence St. Mary Regional Cancer Center staff for all they did for Kathie during her illness. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
The memorial funeral service will be held on Sunday, Jan. 27, at 3 p.m. at the Amazing Grace Church of the Nazarene Church with the Rev. Ron Alexander officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Mountain Humane Society or the Providence St. Mary Regional Cancer Center through Professional Funeral Directors & Crematory, 2112 S.
