John Stacey

1925 - 2013

Longtime Walla Walla resident, John Stacey, 88, passed
away January 20, 2013, at Providence St. Mary Medical
Center, 401 W. Poplar, Walla Walla, Washington.

John was born January 19, 1925, in Picher, Oklahoma, to
Seab and Selma Cameron Stacey. In 1948, he and Dorothy Baker
married in Reno, Nevada. He was involved in farming
and construction all his life and was construction supervisor for the
University of California for over twenty years. After retiring from that position, he moved
with his wife and son to Milton-Freewater, where he became an
orchardist for the remainder of his life.

John is survived by his wife at home; his daughter and
son-in-law, Lynda and Larry Brown of Spangle, Washington;
his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Patty Stacey of Walla
Walla; three grandchildren: Jason Brown, April Marron, and
Matthew Stacey; and three great-grandchildren: Jaden, Jenna
and Jaylene Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents
and his brother, Leslie Bert Stacey.

At his request, there will be no service. Memorial
contributions may be made to a charity of donor’s choice
through Mountain View-Colonial Dewitt, 1551 Dalles Military
Road, Walla Walla, Washington.
