Wilma was born April 28, 1915, in North Platte, Neb., the daughter of Fred L. and Viola M. Potter Ridinger. After her schooling, she began picking fruit and vegetables, later working in the canneries and packing houses.
On March 30, 1938, she married Gideon Blumhagen in Walla Walla. The couple continued living in Milton-Freewater and she began working for JC Penney’s and Anthony’s, working there for 15 years. Wilma retired after the stores closed. She enjoyed sewing and making most of her clothing, watching game shows on television and taking pictures of family and friends at each visit. She was a member of the Ingle Chapel Congregational Church and the Royal Neighbors.
Mr. Blumhagen preceded her in death on July 22, 1991.
She is survived by numerous Blumhagen and Feigner cousins.
