CELEBRATIONS

Keith and Vickie Oglesbee, formerly of Walla Walla and Milton-Freewater, recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary with a trip to their favorite Oregon Coast hideaway.

They began dating after serving as best man and maid-of-honor at the wedding of mutual friends. A year later, they wed on May 3, 1980, at the American Baptist Church in Milton-Freewater. Vickie's maiden name is Potter.

After completing college, Keith entered the U.S. Army. The couple spent many years living and traveling across the United States, Europe and the Middle East. Keith retired from the Army in 2009 and is now employed with Raytheon as Middle East regional manager for international business development.

Vickie is a full-time homemaker and an expert at managing a busy, on-the-move household.

They love to travel and be with family and particularly enjoy frequent visits home to Oregon to see family and treasured old friends.

They currently live in Doha, Qatar, but make their permanent home in Newnan, Ga.

They have two children, April, a teacher in Taichung, Taiwan, and Shasta, a student at the University of West Georgia.
