Plaid is fashionable at the Caledonian Games. The activities continue today in Athena, beginning with the American Legion breakfast on Main Street from 7:30-11 a.m. Sheep dog trials run from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at the athletic field. The Kirkin' o' the Tartan is at 9:30 a.m. at City Park. Coffee hour at the shelter in the park at 10:30 a.m. includes music on the Celtic harp by Janet Naylor. The River City Pipe Band performs at 10:45 a.m. Naylor continues her performance on the Celtic harp on the stage at 11:30 a.m. The Weston-McEwen Pipes and Drum and Military Band are scheduled at 1 p.m. A demonstration by Blue Mountain Wildlife at 1:30 p.m. will include live birds. The horseshoe tournament begins at 2 p.m. The Front Porch Band from Athena will perform at 2:30 p.m.
