It was a near-miss and a no-time for steer wrestler Nick Hamm as he was left hanging by a boot while his steer slipped away Tuesday morning during the 1st go-round of timed events for this year's rodeo.

WALLA WALLA — Nearly 500 riders and ropers will descend on Walla Walla this week for the annual Frontier Days Rodeo at the Walla Walla Fairgrounds.
