Numerous American flags hang in the Walla Walla workshop of Pierre Remillard as he applies a clear coat finish to one of his corrugated tin American flag paintings on Dec. 19. Remillard, a retired Navy sailor, paints the flags as a form of therapy and has started to sell his artwork locally. He started years ago by building his hot rod from the ground up over 10 years.
