Siol, pronounced Sheel, performs the kickoff performance for Walla Faces on Saturday of the first Coyote Kings Invitational Walla Walla Guitar Festival. The festival featured 11 regional blues bands and one Celtic band, who performed from noon Saturday to 1:30 this morning. Other guitar festival venues included Walla Walla Elks Lodge, Sapolil Cellars, CrossRoads Steakhouse and Charles Smith Winery. Event Coordinator and leader of Coyote Kings w/Mush band Robin Barrett said close to 250 pre-event tickets were sold, with another 150 the day of the event. 'For a blues festival, where generally speaking you sell 80 to 90 percent of your tickets at the door, to sell 60 percent of your tickets in advance in practically unheard of," said Barrett, adding that there will be a second festival next year in March.
