In a valiant effort to avoid the tag from Buckley-Enumclaw's Sam Rabb, Walla Walla's Robi Novak (center) sweeps wide of the bag then hangs onto second base with one hand in the top of the fifth inning of a loser-out game at the Washington American Legion Class AA State Baseball Tournament at Walla Walla Community College’s Tausick Way field on Wednesday. Novak was called out on the play, but Walla Walla took the 13-3 win in six innings, and then beat Mason 11-7 to advance to today's state championship game against Eastlake.
