A man took this photograph about 1950 of Jeannette Jackson as she walked along a Paris street. He promised to send it to her if she'd give him $10. Although unsure as to whether he'd really follow through, she gave him $10, and the image arrived. It remains her favorite. She'd just graduated from high school and was studying art at the University of Paris-Sorbonne during her father's sabbatical in France.
