Have you any wool?

Photo detail

Wool matted with burrs and its eye reflecting handlers sorting out the next “volunteer” for shearing, a sheep patiently endures the wooly wait for a haircut Saturday morning. Sheep, wool, textiles and people were all wrapped up together Saturday afternoon at the annual Kirkman Museum Textile House Sheep to Shawl fair. The free event features some of the best wool products from the Valley, as well as demonstrations on knitting, tatting, bobbing, weaving and spinning. Lamb kabobs were also available. And a number of sheep were brought in for shearing.
