Three new buses funded by federal stimulus money will soon be on the road, carrying passengers from Walla Walla to Pasco.
The 20-passenger Grape Line buses are paid for with a portion of a $1.9 million federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act grant for the Travel Washington Intercity Bus Program. Six other buses are in the works, officials with the Department of Transportation say.
The buses are part of the "Moving Washington" program, which helps provide accessible transit options throughout the state.
