ALBANY, Ore. — Even with 35 points from Ben Searle, the WWCC Warriors were beat by Tacoma here Saturday night, 79-73, at the NWAACC Crossover Tournament.
Behind by four points with 1:30, Searle had a chance to pull within one point in the game on an open 3-pointer, but it rimmed out.
Tacoma was fouled at the other end and the free throws extended the lead to six points. Walla Walla didn’t have a chance to get much closer before time ran out.
Searle did hit five 3-pointers in the game, was 8-of-19 from the field and 14-of-14 from the free-throw line.
