Queensryche frontman-turned Walla Walla winemaker Geoff Tate bottled his first white wine at Three Rivers Winery on Wednesday.

The winery has served as a stage for the crossover into a local artform. But Tate's celebrity -- like the celebrity of others dabbling in winemaking here -- has also introduced local wine to an array of new consumers.
