MILTON-FREEWATER -- Pleasant View Alternative High School recently received a $4,000 grant from the Blue Mountain Community Foundation.
This is the second year that the alternative school has earned the grant, which will go to a school project. Last year, Pleasant View students used its $3,000 grant to build a climbing wall for students.
Pleasant View lead teacher Brian Gabbard accepted the grant on the school's behalf in December, and will work with staff and students to determine how to apply the grant this year.
The Blue Mountain Community Foundation serves Umatilla County in Oregon, and Walla Walla, Columbia and Garfield counties in Washington.
