Leighty Benefit Golf Tournament raises $2,600

MILTON-FREEWATER - The Deb Leighty Benefit Golf Tournament at Milton-Freewater Municipal course raised $2,600 Sunday.

A total of 54 players participated in the all-gross play, blind-draw scramble.

Two teams tied for first at 55. Mike Garton and Lucky Tyler tied with Larry Leinbach, Martin Romero and Gunnar Leighty atop the field.

Craig Amsden and Sue Puckett tied for third with Jeff Bishop and Linda Valdes at 58.

Tied for fifth were Dan Leighty and Fred Moore, and Alex Rodighiero and Andrew Brown at 59.

Winning a prize for high-score were Merle Sherman and Shari Thacker at 79.
