WALLA WALLA -- A two-vehicle collision along Highway 12 this morning has injured two area residents.
The crash occurred about 8:15 a.m., about seven miles west of Walla Walla, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The agency reports that a vehicle driven by James L. Martin, 77, of Walla Walla, collided with a vehicle driven by Robert Goldsmith, 45, of Kennewick.
Martin was apparently attempting a left turn onto the westbound highway from Detour Road, with Goldsmith heading east on the highway, when Martin's vehicle struck Goldsmith's.
Goldsmith was injured and treated at the scene; Martin and a passenger, Marie I. Martin, 83, of Walla Walla, were taken to Providence St. Mary Medical Center for treatment.
Martin faces a citation for failing to yield to Goldsmith, according to a WSP release.
