Like we didn't see that coming. Like I've said before, looks like another "Frank Brown" scenario.

"In fact, it's possible that miscommunication and the inexperience of running a winery were at the root of the problems."

This "miscommunication" and "inexperience" lies squarely on the shoulders of all involved. Was not the board of the winery responsible to run the winery well, holding everything in balance?

Here's the crux of the UB's matter: "we are disappointed in Turner's view on the release of information to media regarding criminal activity and investigations." He won't play your way, so you're lobbying against him.

I'm just hoping Walla Walla is smart enough and has enough time to see through you, UB. This will be interesting.

Bill White has experience running a law enforcement operation. Mr. Turner does not.

eastoreogonian, your kidding right, Turner has more experience in his little finger than White has in his whole body, get real. White reminds me of Barney Fife, what a joke.

Bill White has NO experience running a law enforcement operation He's not sheriff. White supporters always say how White does all the good that comes out of the Sheriff's office but when it comes to the questionable ones they say "that's someone elses fault (the sheriff).

Give it a rest. The residents of Walla Walla are not idiots.

The ongoing rhetoric concerning Ash Hollow's failures being connected to Turner are as transparent as it gets. The U-B's timing is even more transparent. White admittedly is not a politician, well like it or not, being a politician is part of this position. I venture to say that Turner has more law enforcement experience just from LA than most officers will experience in a long career in WW.

Go John Turner Go!!!

...hold on 'everwonder'

The good people of WW are not idiots that believe everything they read! The UB has really shot themselves in the foot (of credibility) by posting such a bias immediatly after their 'scoop investigation'.

I agree that this smells alot of what the UB did to Frank Brown, who i knew as an honorable man and a worthy investigator/coroner. I think plenty of people saw what happened as an unfair presention by the UB and that 'soured' their reception of the Tucker-Turner story...

John is going to win this. Then we need to clone him...

It was said in earlier discussions that the Sheriff's Office investigation by the WSP and State Auditors Office over the miss-usage of funds by White was over. This was supposely announced by one of our good-ol-boys, commissioner Looney, that informed the Waitsburg Times of it. Now why didn't the UB pick up on it and also publish it. Because it is not true. See below

October 18, 2010

Dear Shoope
We have received your records request for any public records on the Walla Walla Sheriff's Office investigation of 2010 involving misuse of monetary funds.

Per RCW 43.09.186(4) and RCW 42.56.280, the records you are requesting are exempt from disclosure until the completion of the investigation. As soon as the investigation is completed, we will contact you regarding when to expect the information.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Sincerely,
Mary Leider
Public Records Officer
State Auditor's Office
Sunset Bldg. - PO Box 40031
Olympia, WA 98504
Work: (360) 725-5617
Fax: (360) 586-8554

Take notice people. It's not done until the WSP and the State says it is. Even though White is not mentioned in the Auditor's response, White is a member of the Sheriff's Office. Do we want someone as Sheriff that we may have to replace if the investigation proves out? Even worst, Let the Commissioners appoint one. Probally cousin Greenwood.
