WALLA WALLA -- The Blue Mountain chapter of the American Red Cross will be staging its second annual Blue Mountain Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day.
"Last year, nearly 360 people turned out for our first Turkey Trot," said executive director Terry Hackney.
The 5K run takes place Nov. 25 beginning at 7:30 a.m. in Pioneer Park. It starts and ends at the park. A one-mile walk is planned as an alternative, Hackney said.
Registration is $15 through Friday; afterward it's $20. Online registration is available at www.bmcredcross.org (click on the running turkey). Participants can also register at the Walla Walla Red Cross office at 175 S. Park St. For more information call 525-7380.
