In Walla Walla, one Council race tightens; one settled
Incumbent Dominick Elia remains in close contention with Paul Mobley for the Position 7 seat.

WALLA WALLA — With 100 ballots still left to be counted and only 30 votes between them, either Dominick Elia or Paul Mobley could end up eliminated as a candidate for City Council Position 7.
Figures released today show Elia has 1,446 votes and Mobley has 1,416.
Mary Lou Jenkins leads the race with 1,525 votes.
As for City Council Position 4, the remaining 100 votes will not beenough to change the results.
Incumbent Jerry Cummins is the leader with 1,934 votes, Dick Swenson is in second place with 1,470 and Jim Hackett will be eliminated from the election after receiving 903 votes.
