Port of Walla Walla commissioner gains ground on challenger
Mike Fredrickson and Rich Monacelli remain far behind Barlow Corkrum, but Fredrickson's lead over Monacelli has grown with 100 ballots yet to count.

WALLA WALLA – The gap between incumbent Port of Walla Walla Commissioner Mike Fredrickson and challenger Rich Monacelli grew slightly with the latest tally of votes, but may still be too close to call.
As of the most recent count Friday posted by the Walla Walla County Auditors Office, Fredrickson led Monacelli by 18 votes.
The office has 100 remaining ballots that weren’t counted for a variety of reasons, including signatures that need checking or other marks that require further investigation.
