Ecotrust ceremony to recognize tribal leaders

An Ecotrust ceremony to recognize leaders from Native American tribes and Canadian First Nations will include finalist Chuck Sams, a member of the Confederated Umatilla Tribes.
The Nov. 2 dinner will be at the Portland Art Museum, Mark Building, Fields Ballroom, 1119 S.W. Park Ave. It coincides with the National Congress of American Indians National Convention.
It will feature a traditional fall feast of wild and tribal-caught fall Chinook salmon, ceremony and music. The event begins with a 5:30 p.m. reception and includes a dinner and ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Open to all, business attire is requested and RSVPs should be made by Monday.
