I don't get it, I saw students pray in public school all the time when I was younger. Are you watching too much tv?

To me the purpose of the seperation of church and state is to keep politicians from making laws based on their personal religious beliefs. How would you like it if a Jahovas Witness became president and decided it should be illegal for anyone to have a blood transfusion or a Seventh Day Adventist were elected and he decided ALL businesses should be closed on Saturday? Religious beliefs cannot be allowed to make policies that affect the entire populaion. Also, atheism is not a religion. The ONLY belief that atheists share is a lack of belief in any god. There are no deities, no dogma, no buildings, no special clothing and no belief in anything that cannot be supported by evidence. Since the laws cannot possibly support ALL religions, religion needs to be kept out of public policy.

The first Pilgrims were Quakers and came to the United States so they could worship freely. One of the very best things about the United States is that you can worship how you please, and attend the church of your choice.
