Dear Church Lady,

Well, isn't your opinion special. America is not "waging war" on anything, but Christians are waging war on everything that they don't agree with. I'm a Christian, and am embarassed and apalled by your narrow-minded opinion.

If you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all. Why don't you spend your time and energy practicing Christian values and not use your Christianity as a front to spew your hatred. Nobody is exempt from your hatred or judgement in this article.

You are one person in this world and you do not possess the power of condemnation. Leave that for God. REMINDER: You are not GOD so don't pretend to know what God wants, thinks, desires.

Dear Jesus, please save me from your followers. (At least ones like these.)

After reading so many silly letters to the editor in the last few weeks I definitely think there should be an extra tax on gay marriage licenses. These dollars could fund one-way plane tickets to Iran for all those who are fearful of the "unthinkable" gay marriage disease.

Women voting and slaves being free were also accepted and then normalized. Mr. Blackman, as you sit there on your moral high horse you should remember that being christian does not automatically make one "moral". Morality in the bible is relative and wishy-washy. How can you take it seriously when a god who says killing is wrong, then drowns everybody and asks people to kill their own children? You spewed a lot of hate and not one thing you said demonstrated HOW gay marriage is bad for society. You need to get over the image of "government sanctioned sodomy" that is stuck in your mind because that is blocking your logic and reason. Nobody is concerned about the sex acts that my wife and I are into and they shouldn't be concerned about what goes on behind closed doors between any couple, gay or straight. This is about human rights and gay people are human just like you.

These "Christians" sure like to think about gay sex a lot.

the 'end result" of gay sex is exactly the same as straight sex.And why put and extra tax on gay marriage licenses as opposed to straight marriage licenses..what exactly will that accomplish?? oh yeah.. more discriminiation...localgirl.. you must be less that age 24 because your brain is clearly not developed.

mytwocents, you missed the sarcasm of localgirl's post. Iran allows stoning of homosexuals and localgirl suggested a 'one way ticket'. Please reconsider your last post. We are in this together, as people who believe that persons should be equal under the law.

The government and sex-obsessed Christians should stay out of consenting adults' bedrooms regardless of who they are!

It amazes me how people use a Book that calls for love and understanding over all, to promote hatred, and judge others whe nthe same Book makes it vewry clear there is only One who will judge.

It amazes me that anyone can read the bible and think it calls for love and understanding over all.
