Pair of chiefs selected for Walla Walla
Bob Yancey, interim chief, will head the city Fire Department and Scott Bieber has been named the top choice for police chief.

WALLA WALLA -- City Manager Nabiel Shawa announced his choice for the city's new fire and police chiefs at Wednesday's City Council meeting.
The fire chief position will go to Bob Yancey, who has served as interim fire chief since the retirement of past chief Terry Thomas last year.
The police chief position will got to Scott Bieber, a commander with the Vancouver, Wash., Police Department.
