I think it's in our best interests to let Obama finish what he started. The downward spiral that our economy is in was already well underway when Obama took over and problems that bad take years to turn around. The other candidates all say they can do better but I can't think of a past president who lived up to all of his campaign promises. They all promise a lot and then they find out how little power they really have after they are sitting in the oval office. I don't know what will happen but it can't get much worse by letting Obama stay for a second term and it might just get better. You won't get better odds with anyone else.

I agree with commonsense - Obama went into office at probably the worst time in history - the housing market had alraedy tanked, the national debt was already in the trillions thanks to Bush and the war, jobs have been outsourced for years, so on and so forth. So far, I haven't heard much from the other potential republican candidates, other than to bash each other.

“I will be held accountable,” Obama said. “I’ve got four years and … A year fromm now, I think people are going to see that we’re starting to make some progress, but there’s still going to be some pain out there … If I don’t have this done in three years, then there’s going to be a one-term proposition.”

I knew the second I read the banner line that it was more of the same from Ms. Bardsley. She believes George Bush was the greatest thing since ice water on a hot summer day, and were supposed to forget all about what he did to this country, and how is out and out lies led to a war in Iraq where we lost 5000 of our young.
Some will just never get away from party politics, and their hatred for others. I think it says a lot when the GOP hopefuls main talking point isn't what they will do for us, but to state their main goal is to get Obama out of office.
I must add; spot on to kurtfr (and most of the others here), except can we change that to four more minutes?
