Cowboy01 2 months ago on Letter - Say ‘no’ to growing, selling marijuana in Walla Walla

Like I said you are a pot head 44 years on top of that. Just because you can go through life high doesn’t mean the kids can, yes kids can get a hold, but now it will be way too easy for them. Just like the legalization of spirits, now the kids can go to the store and steal it, which then leads to a criminal record thus the downhill effect starts. Just like it will with pot, most kids get high then become useless couch potatoes lacking any sort of ambition to do anything but sit around and smoke pot thus the other downhill effect starts, and by the way I’m not the only one that has seen this time and time again. You might be a functioning pot head but don’t sit there and glamorize it like it’s something special because it’s not!! I feel sorry for the kids because this IS going to have a bad impact on them. I know you don’t think so, but you will see and unfortunately all of us are going to be a witness. Oh and since my kid has stopped smoking this pathetic drug, he is now 100 percent a different person.

I am not talking about the supreme court nor the NRA I am responding to this letter in which it states false and idiotic statements. If someone David Higgins would do his research before sending a letter such as this one, I would not be posting anything at all.

Chicoli, You can join the rest of the idiots that think this way, as I have said before the people that are going to kill a person will use whatever means necessary to do so even a frying pan!! Most of the guns people buy today are only good for murdering people, really!! No, most of the guns built today are for sport shooting and hunting. That’s like saying cars are built to hit people in the cross walks. Yes I am pro-gun, I think that is obvious, but I am against ignorant people thinking that it’s the gun or the “bullet” that is doing the killing. Look at other countries that do not have guns, what do the murdering people of that country use to kill their victims? Is murder ever going to stop? No!! But if you want to take the guns and do not want to own a gun than that is you’re ignorance shining through. When it comes down to it what are you going to do to protect yourself if you ever have to? A rock? Good luck the guy who has no regard to law has a bullet thrower. So you keep on hating guns and bashing people who own them and use them for what they are intended to be used for and not hate the murdering a$$ holes that give every law abiding gun owner a bad name, one of these days that law abiding POS gun owner might just save your life.

Well now Teacup, I see you are all for smoking pot, well that’s all fine and dandy but what she is saying is that pot makes you stupid. It may help with pain and is better for you than a pain pill but that was just a way around the law to begin with. Plain and simple the only people this is going to impact is the youngsters running around thinking it’s cool to be stoned all day. For a parent that watched his kid go through this, what she is saying is true and the things she quoted are true. Maybe you should do some homework instead of just thinking it’s totally harmless because to the kids it isn’t. And yes once again King county is the deciding factor in all this crap that floats this way. If you want to go smoke pot that’s all fine and good, but don’t sit there and defend it like it’s something good thing for the kids to have and that it won’t affect their lives because you are dead wrong and I have lived that fact so yes I’m speaking from experience just in case you were wondering.

STVSNGLTN,

I could not find the RCW on consuming but it does state,( under the influence.) So I’m guessing that means don’t go over.08? here are the RCW’S for Washington state, http://apps.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?Cite=9.41&full=true#9.41.300 maybe you will have better luck. PACO I do see you’re point and is a valid one, Idaho has pretty strict laws and is harder to get a license than Washington and even harder to get the enhanced license. Maybe that will help, not every person will be carrying a firearm while in school but I’m hoping that it will not be a mistake seems this is how all this madness got started to begin with.

Disregard I just read the article. It states the persons carrying will be licensed with an enhanced carry permit which is done through the state, which is the same here and I already conceal carry in college, why? Because I am licensed to. College is not just a bunch of little kids partying like rock stars, the ages range from young to old. I don’t know of any drinking games going on in the middle of class, do you? Furthermore did you know it’s illegal to consume alcohol while carrying a firearm, licensed or not! So with the mass shooting in schools, do you think it is the best practice to be unarmed or to just try and call the police before the gun man gets to you? We all should know the answer to that question. Hints is why they don’t go to the police stations and open fire on them, because they can defend themselves. Yes Paco there will always be those good guys gone bad but if they don’t have a gun they will use something else, if those people are to that point where they are going to take someone’s life, they will do it regardless if they have a gun or a hammer. I just wish there had been someone in those schools that had the option to protect themselves and or others during those shootings, you would be reading a totally different headline.
