And by the above vote numbers, we have 12 (so far) idiots who would vote to build something that we do not even know a projected cost, or even a guess !! No wonder this continues to get shot down !!
We have to do things our own way because we are not exactly like other communities, yes we have many similarities but in the end we have different budget restraints and demographics to deal with, I do hope you will see the other major new changes coming to the fair this year that stemmed from feedback from our own community. Sometimes it is better to learn from others who have made mistakes and not have to repeat those same mistakes as part of the learning process, as with anything change will always meet with some resistance, hopefully the overall changes are for the better and have a positive effect on the whole community.
You will have that explanation very soon, you will also be seeing a completely different format and look to the fair this year, think positive, change takes time but it is coming !!

To all the folks who voted disappointed, you should probably learn more about the cost and budget process for producing a concert, and all the factors involved to bring it to Walla Walla.
